Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a Project Superintendent to serve as the on-site representative for a multi-family housing project in Cincinnati, OH. You will coordinate daily field activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety, budget, and schedule adherence.

Collaborate with the Project Manager, mentor junior field staff, and drive cost control, quality, and timely project delivery. On-site role with competitive compensation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience building multi-family housing.
• Bluebeam experience required.
• Experience with material lead time tracking required.
• 10-Hour OSHA Construction Certification.
• CPR and First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of schedule, phasing, and logistics during preconstruction.
• Assist with constructability review, coordination drawing review, and bid package development.
• Assist with the bid, award, and procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Lead, direct, and coordinate day-to-day field activities, including subcontractor management.
• Coordinate materials with field and design requirements.
• Work with the project team to deliver a quality project on time and on budget.
• Execute project cost control and implement the project schedule.
• Ensure the quality control program is implemented, including the punch list.
• Actively resolve field issues.
• Produce daily reports and gather subcontractor daily reports.
• Participate in OAC meetings and run regular Foreman meetings, ensuring minutes are taken.
• Maintain and file project documents, ensuring correct documents are available in the field.
• Ensure accurate as-built drawings are maintained.
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed and the jobsite is secure.
• Manage the permit and inspection process and all code compliance.
• Understand the owner contract, subcontracts, and POs executed for the project.
• Train, mentor, and educate Field Engineers and Assistant Superintendents on the project.
• Continually analyze and mitigate project risk while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Participate in RFQ/RFP responses and project interviews as needed.
• Assist with finding and developing future job opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Overview

A construction company specializing in multi-family housing projects is seeking a Project Superintendent to serve as its on-site representative, responsible for the daily coordination and direction of a project to ensure it is safe, within budget, on schedule, and meets both quality and customer satisfaction standards. This role works closely with the Project Manager as a complementary team, with the Superintendent focusing primarily on daily and short-range field direction.
