Job summary

TYG is exclusively partnering with a leading national construction firm to identify a Superintendent with hands-on experience delivering live, operational data centre projects across the United States.

In this role, you will lead day-to-day field operations in expansions, retrofits, and upgrades within active data centres, coordinating with facility operations teams to sustain uptime while enforcing strict change controls and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent on live/operational data centre projects.
• Strong understanding of critical environment protocols and risk mitigation in occupied facilities.
• Track record supervising field operations on large-scale commercial or mission-critical construction projects.
• Excellent on-site leadership, communication, and coordination skills across trades and facility teams.
• Willingness to travel as required for project needs.

Responsibilities

• Direct on-site construction activities within active, mission-critical facilities.
• Coordinate daily with facility operations teams to maintain uptime and safety during construction.
• Enforce MOPs and change management protocols at the field level.
• Supervise subcontractors and site crews to maintain schedules, safety, and quality.
• Conduct site walks, inspections and daily coordination to resolve issues before impacting operations.
• Ensure safety standards compliance across all on-site work.

This is a confidential search for a well‑established, top‑tier contractor with a strong and growing data centre portfolio across the US.

Compensation & Package

• Our client offers a salary ranging from $130,000 - $185,000 DOE
• Plus a 20% travel package on top of base salary
• Paid per diem for project-related travel
• Highly competitive total compensation reflecting the complexity and demand of live-site data centre work

About the Role

You'll be leading day-to-day field operations on expansions, retrofits, and upgrades within live, operational data centres — work that demands a distinct skill set from ground‑up builds. This includes:

• Directing on‑site construction activities within active, mission-critical facilities
• Coordinating daily with facility operations teams to maintain uptime and safety throughout construction
• Enforcing strict MOPs (Methods of Procedure) and change management protocols at the field level
• Supervising subcontractors and site crews to keep schedules, safety, and quality on track
• Conducting site walks, inspections, and daily coordination to identify and resolve issues before they impact operations
• Ensuring full compliance with critical facility safety standards across all on‑site work
