Job summary

Confidential Search is seeking a Senior Superintendent for a Midwest-based contractor with nationwide travel to lead data center field operations. You will drive schedules, coordinate trades, ensure safety and quality, and deliver projects on time on a national portfolio across the Midwest, South, and East Coast.

The role requires 10+ years in commercial construction, data center or mission-critical experience, and the ability to manage complex MEP scopes and large field teams.

Qualifications

A well-established Midwest-based general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to join its rapidly growing data center construction team. The company generates approximately $750 million in annual revenue and has significantly expanded its presence in the data center market over the past several years. The organization currently has multiple data center projects underway across the country, with a concentration throughout the Midwest, South, and East Coast.

The project portfolio includes ground-up data centers, colocation facilities, and complex retrofit/renovation projects. This is an opportunity for a proven superintendent to take a senior field leadership role on some of the industry's most technically demanding and high-profile construction projects.

The Role

As a Senior Superintendent, you will lead field operations from mobilization through completion, working closely with project management, owners, subcontractors, design teams, and other project stakeholders.

You’ll be responsible for establishing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating trades, driving safety and quality, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and to a high standard.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a seasoned construction superintendent with significant experience leading large, complex projects, preferably within data center, mission‑critical, industrial, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or similarly complex construction environments.

We’re looking for someone who can step onto a major project and immediately provide strong field leadership.

Qualifications include:

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience
• Proven experience as a Superintendent on large-scale projects
• Data center or other mission‑critical construction experience strongly preferred
• Experience managing complex MEP scopes and multiple subcontractors
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling and sequencing
• Ability to lead large field teams and subcontractor forces
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively nationwide
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required
