Job summary

Tiello partners with a growing commercial General Contractor in the Twin Cities to hire a Superintendent responsible for overseeing ground-up projects around $2 million, across multiple sites in the Twin Cities metro. You will lead field operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain schedules, manage inspections, and ensure safe, high-quality delivery.

Ground-up commercial construction experience is required; carpentry background preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years as a commercial construction superintendent.
• Experience leading ground-up commercial projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate multiple sites and manage competing priorities.
• Understand construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination.
• Read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related tools.
• Valid driver's license; travel between Twin Cities projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations across multiple commercial sites.
• Lead ground-up projects from site prep to turnover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and deliveries.
• Develop look-ahead schedules, monitor progress, resolve issues.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce OSHA requirements.
• Communicate with Project Managers, owners, architects, and inspectors.
• Maintain daily reports and project documentation.
• Manage punch lists and closeout activities.

Compensation: $100,000–$130,000 Base Salary (DOE)

The company’s portfolio includes ground-up construction, restaurants, retail, office, healthcare, and tenant improvements. This is a growth opportunity for a field leader who enjoys taking ownership of projects and working closely with subcontractors, clients, and the project management team

Role Summary

The Superintendent will oversee ground-up commercial projects valued at approximately $2 million, with responsibility for managing multiple active sites throughout the Twin Cities metro area

This individual will lead field operations from startup through closeout, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, managing inspections, and ensuring safe, high-quality project delivery. Ground-up commercial construction experience is required, and a carpentry background is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations across multiple commercial construction sites
• Lead ground-up projects from site preparation and foundations through building construction, interiors, and final turnover
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and material deliveries
• Develop and maintain look-ahead schedules, monitor progress, and resolve issues that could affect completion
• Coordinate inspections and ensure work complies with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce OSHA requirements
• Communicate regularly with Project Managers, owners, architects, and inspectors
• Maintain daily reports and accurate project documentation
• Manage punch lists and closeout activities to ensure successful project turnover

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of commercial construction Superintendent experience
• Demonstrated experience leading ground-up commercial projects from start to finish
• Ability to coordinate multiple sites and competing project priorities
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination
• bility to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between projects throughout the Twin Cities metro

Preferred Qualifications

• Carpentry or related field trade background
• Restaurant, retail, office, or healthcare construction experience
• Tenant improvement and occupied-facility renovation experience
• Procore experience
• OSHA 30 certification
