Job summary

Tiello is seeking a Superintendent to oversee ground-up commercial projects in the Twin Cities metro, valued around $2 million each. You will lead field operations from startup through closeout, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in ground-up commercial work, a carpentry background preferred, and the ability to travel between sites. Proficiency in MS Office and strong leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of commercial construction Superintendent experience.
• Experience leading ground-up commercial projects from start to finish.
• Ability to coordinate multiple sites and competing project priorities.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between projects throughout the Twin Cities metro.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations across multiple commercial construction sites.
• Lead ground-up projects from site preparation and foundations through building construction, interiors, and final turnover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and material deliveries.
• Develop and maintain look-ahead schedules, monitor progress, and resolve issues that could affect completion.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure work complies with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce OSHA requirements.
• Communicate regularly with Project Managers, owners, architects, and inspectors.
• Maintain daily reports and accurate project documentation.
• Manage punch lists and closeout activities to ensure successful project turnover.
