Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited in Texas is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead daily on-site operations for a large-scale data center project in Hutto. You will oversee mechanical and electrical scopes, coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, quality, and safety to deliver mission-critical facilities.

The role requires 5+ years in ground-up commercial construction, strong knowledge of MEP and reading blueprints, and the ability to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience on ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP and electrical construction processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand subcontractor scopes of work.
• Experience managing subcontractors, crews, and labour costs on active construction sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to and from the project site.
• Data center or mission critical construction experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations across MEP and electrical scopes including scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment.
• Develop and utilise look-ahead schedules to assess progress and identify upcoming issues.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings with the Project Manager prior to mobilisation.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
• Meet with and direct supervisory personnel, craft personnel, and subcontractors to review scope, schedule, and phasing requirements.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with specifications and construction schedules.
• Manage the project based on progress reports, materials used, and costs and adjust work schedules accordingly.
• Work with the Project Manager to prepare the Project Management Plan.
• Resolve complaints and grievances within the project workforce.
• Ensure company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards are consistently maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage crew mixes and work assignments to control labour costs.

• $195,000 Base Per Annum
