Job summary

Green Key Resources is partnering with a well-established commercial contractor in the Greater Philadelphia market to hire an experienced Superintendent. The role oversees all field operations from project start through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget compliance on diverse commercial projects.

You will collaborate with project managers, owners, architects, and designers to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Superintendent for a commercial GC.
• Experience with ground-up or renovation projects.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Develop and maintain project schedules while ensuring milestone completion.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies on the jobsite.
• Monitor quality control and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Conduct daily site meetings and coordinate activities with project teams.
• Identify and resolve field issues to minimize delays and maintain project momentum.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, inspections, and punch lists.
• Lead project closeout activities and ensure a successful turnover to ownership.

As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all field operations from project start through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, owners, architects, and design teams to successfully deliver commercial construction projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a Commercial General Contractor.
• Experience managing ground-up and/or renovation commercial construction projects.
• Experience overseeing one or more of the following project types preferred: Healthcare, Life Sciences, Higher Education, Multifamily, Mixed-Use, Hospitality, Corporate, or Industrial.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule expectations.
