Job summary

Green Key Resources has partnered with a respected General Contractor in the Greater Philadelphia market to search for a Senior Project Manager with experience leading large-scale, complex commercial construction projects.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee preconstruction through closeout, manage budgets, schedules, and teams, and coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality projects on time and within contract requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CM, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 10+ years in commercial construction with PM responsibility.
  • Experience leading large-scale, complex projects.
  • Proven preconstruction through closeout delivery.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Experience coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and subs.
  • Proficient in MS Office and construction scheduling software.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee full project lifecycle from preconstruction to turnover.
  • Lead large-scale construction projects with budget, schedule, and execution responsibility.
  • Mentor Project Managers, PMs, Engineers and staff.
  • Manage relationships with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subs.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, schedules, and financial reporting.
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, bid leveling, and contract negotiations.
  • Facilitate project meetings and drive timely issue resolution.
  • Coordinate logistics with field leadership to ensure safety and quality.
  • Identify risks and develop proactive mitigation plans.
  • Support repeat business and future opportunities through strong client relations.

Green Key Resources has partnered with one of the most established and respected General Contractors in the Greater Philadelphia market on their search for a Senior Project Manager with experience leading large-scale, complex commercial construction projects.

Ground-Up Construction, Higher Education, K-12, Multifamily, Historic Renovation & Restoration, Public/Civic, Transportation, Commercial, and Institutional

This is an opportunity to join a highly respected General Contractor that has been building landmark projects throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding region for more than 100 years. The company has an extensive portfolio of high-profile ground-up construction, complex renovations, historic restorations, and institutional projects and is known for its commitment to quality, strong client relationships, and long-standing reputation throughout the Philadelphia construction market.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will take a leadership role in the delivery of large-scale and technically complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will oversee project teams, manage client and design-team relationships, maintain financial and schedule performance, and work closely with field leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction and procurement through construction, closeout, and turnover.
  • Lead large-scale and complex construction projects while managing overall project strategy, budget, schedule, and execution.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project staff.
  • Manage relationships and communication with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal field teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, schedules, and financial reporting.
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, bid leveling, contract negotiations, scope reviews, and buyout.
  • Manage project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and closeout documentation.
  • Facilitate owner, architect, contractor, and internal project meetings while driving timely resolution of project issues.
  • Partner closely with Superintendents and field leadership to coordinate project logistics, sequencing, scheduling, and constructability.
  • Identify potential project risks and proactively develop solutions to maintain schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project while supporting repeat business and future project opportunities.
  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with contract requirements, company standards, safety expectations, and quality objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience with progressive project management responsibility.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Project Manager or experienced Project Manager leading large-scale and complex construction projects.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
  • Strong knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, contract administration, and cost control.
  • Experience managing and developing project teams while coordinating closely with field leadership.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, drawings, specifications, contracts, and subcontractor scopes.
  • Experience working directly with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and client relationship management skills.
  • Experience with large-scale ground-up, institutional, education, multifamily, historic renovation, public/civic, transportation, or complex commercial projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management/project scheduling software.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel to project sites throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.
