The ideal candidate has 10+ years of commercial construction experience, proven site leadership, and comfort working in occupied environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Proven experience leading commercial projects from the field.
• Experience with retail, healthcare, office or interior construction.
• Comfortable working in occupied spaces and public-facing environments.
• Strong subcontractor and field management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
• Procore experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects.

Type: Full-Time

A well-established and growing New Jersey General Contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Superintendent to join its team.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who has the experience to take ownership of projects, manage subcontractors and keep fast‑paced commercial work moving safely and efficiently.

The Role

• Lead day‑to‑day field operations on commercial construction projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and site personnel
• Manage schedules, sequencing and project progress
• Maintain high standards for safety, quality and workmanship
• Coordinate inspections and ensure work meets project requirements
• Work closely with Project Managers and the office team
• Identify and resolve issues before they impact the project
• Manage work in occupied environments while maintaining safety and minimal disruption
• Communicate regularly with clients, subcontractors and internal teams

Project Experience

The company works primarily across commercial construction, including:

Projects are typically fast‑paced, ranging from smaller interior fit‑outs through larger commercial renovations.
