Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on diverse Los Angeles projects. This role requires overseeing subcontractors, maintaining the construction schedule, and ensuring safety and quality on ground-up and tenant-improvement work.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in commercial construction, strong leadership, and the ability to read plans and coordinate with PMs, clients, and partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience as a Superintendent for a General Contractor.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Strong knowledge of quality control and jobsite safety.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ground-up construction experience is highly desirable.

Description

The Superintendent will be responsible for leading all day-to-day field operations and ensuring assigned projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to project plans and specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

Profile

The successful candidate will be an experienced Commercial Superintendent with a strong understanding of construction means and methods and the leadership skills necessary to effectively manage subcontractors and field operations.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience
• Proven experience as a Superintendent for a General Contractor
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
• Strong understanding of construction schedules and sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings
• Strong knowledge of quality control and jobsite safety
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve field issuesExperience with commercial, office, healthcare, life science, industrial, hospitality, entertainment, or similar projects
• Ground-up construction experience is highly desirable
• A proactive, accountable approach to managing field operations
• Desire to grow with a rapidly expanding organization

Job Offer

• Base salary up to $175k (depending on experience)
• $650/month vehicle allowance
• Bonus earning potential around 7% - 15% of base salary
