Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent in Melbourne, FL to lead field operations on major commercial construction projects. You will oversee safety, quality, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project execution while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in commercial construction, OSHA 30, and hands-on leadership experience on large projects. Healthcare, institutional, or renovation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience.
• 3+ years leading field operations as a Superintendent or equivalent.
• Experience managing larger or more complex commercial projects preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• First Aid/CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations and overall site coordination.
• Direct subcontractors and manage daily construction activities.
• Develop and manage three-week look-ahead schedules.
• Lead daily subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Monitor progress, milestones, manpower, logistics, and project sequencing.
• Identify schedule risks and implement recovery strategies.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, materials, equipment, and deliveries.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and contract documents.
• Maintain project documentation, daily reports, safety reports, and progress reports.
• Manage quality control, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Executives, architects, engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, and less-experienced field personnel.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for safety, quality, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and overall project execution.

This is an opportunity for a Superintendent who wants to take ownership of major projects, mentor developing field staff, and become a key leader within a growing construction operation.

Healthcare construction experience is highly desirable, along with experience in commercial, institutional, industrial, or renovation projects.

Job Details

• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and project phases
• Healthcare, institutional, industrial, or renovation experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules
• OSHA 30 Certification required
• First Aid/CPR preferred
• Procore and Bluebeam experience preferred
• Microsoft Office proficiency required
