Job summary

Structure Tone Philadelphia is seeking a Superintendent to oversee interior construction projects in the Philadelphia area. You will manage field coordination, maintain schedules, ensure quality, and supervise subcontractors on site.

You will coordinate safety, QA/QC, and client communications, review progress with the Project Manager, and ensure compliance with design specifications. Strong leadership and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of field experience.
  • Experience should include supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
  • Well-developed communications, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares the project schedule and maintains reports describing project status.
  • Directs day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces and field coordination.
  • Reviews progress with the Project Manager and client representatives; large projects may have multiple Superintendents.
  • Ensures safety standards are implemented and followed on site.
  • Manages QA/QC and compliance with client specifications.
  • Coordinates lock-out tag-out with responsible subcontractors for utilities.
  • Analyzes manpower, material and equipment requirements and interfaces with design teams.

Job description

Structure Tone Philadelphia, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Superintendent for our interior’s projects throughout Philadelphia.The Superintendent is responsible for the timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Prepares the project schedule,maintainsreports accurately describing project status
  • Responsible for thetimelyand cost-effectivefield coordination, qualitycontrolandday-to-daysupervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects
  • Reviews status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis. Large projects include multiple Superintendents.
  • Ensuressafety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others whenoperatingtools and equipment.
  • Directs sub-contractor activities within ground up construction projects
  • Analyzesmanpower, material, equipment requirements, andinterfaces the requirements withothers asdesignatedby supervising superintendent.
  • Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules asestablishedby field construction Management
  • Prepares reports and forecasts, asrequired, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities
  • Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition andoperatedsafely.
  • Coordination of Lock-out Tag-out with responsible subcontractors of utilities such as Nitrogen, Vacuum, Compressed Air, RODI, and Steam
  • Manage QA/QC and understanding of client engineering specifications or requirements.
