Job summary

Rodgers Builders, Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations in the Raleigh market for commercial construction projects.

You will lead project teams, coordinate trade partners, and ensure safe, efficient delivery with exceptional quality. Responsibilities include scheduling inspections, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining daily reports while mentoring team members and upholding safety standards on occupied sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent in commercial/healthcare construction.
• Experience establishing building layout and control.
• Proficient in document change and RFI management.
• Maintain a high level of quality throughout.
• Experience working in occupied buildings.
• Strong leadership to mentor and train others.
• Excellent problem-solving and adaptability.
• OSHA 30-hour trained.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe practices in project execution.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members.
• Develop and communicate project plan including schedule, logistics, safety, and quality programs.
• Schedule and conduct inspections with local authorities.
• Coordinate subcontractors and lead coordination meetings.
• Manage daily construction reports and safety checklists.
• Oversee quality control and punch-list resolution.
• Provide schedule updates to owner/design team.

We're seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial construction projects in our Raleigh market, leading project teams, coordinating trade partners, and ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Ensure safe practices are used in the execution of project work
• Help train, mentor, and develop the skills of team members
• Assist with the development and communication of the project plan to include the project schedule, site logistics, safety, and quality programs
• Schedule and conduct inspections with local authorities
• Supervise installations in conjunction with construction documents, including but not limited to coordination drawings, shop drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, etc.
• Maintain a safe, secure, clean, and organized job site
• Ensure and review quality of weekly project safety checklist
• Ensure all team members are participating and running daily safety huddles
• Conduct and supervise project meetings
• Ensure completion of Standards of Excellence quality checklists at appropriate times
• Supervise the completion of quality control/punch list issues throughout the project
• Provides schedule updates and/or comments to owner/design team
• Coordinate the work of multiple subcontractors and lead subcontractor coordination meetings regularly
• Create and review completion and accuracy of daily construction reports
• Conduct planning and maintenance of shutdowns and tie-ins
• Maintain daily reports using 360 Field
• Assist in resolving construction issues to maintain the productivity of subcontractors

Requirements/Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent in commercial or healthcare construction
• Experience in establishing building layout and control
• Proficient in document change and RFI management
• Ability to maintain a high level of quality throughout
• Experience working in occupied buildings
• Strong leadership skills, ability to mentor and train others
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs
• OSHA 30-hour trained
