Job summary

Allegiance Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Project Superintendent – Underground Utilities to lead field operations on commercial, healthcare, industrial and infrastructure projects.

You will run the jobsite daily, supervise crews and subcontractors, read plans and specs, and ensure work is sequenced, safe and on schedule. Coordinate with the PM to keep milestones, inspections and deliveries on track.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction field experience.
• Experience as a Superintendent or Foreman.
• Background in electrical, underground utility, civil or similar work.
• Comfort reading plans and specs, and a good sense of sequencing a job.
• Experience leading crews and managing subcontractors.
• OSHA 30 is preferred.

Project Superintendent – Underground Utilities

Charlotte, NC | $105,000–$120,000 + Bonus Pool + Company Vehicle

I'm recruiting for an electrical and underground utility contractor in Charlotte that's growing and needs an experienced Superintendent to run work in the field.

They work on commercial, healthcare, industrial and infrastructure projects. Most of the work is underground electrical: duct banks, manholes, directional drilling, cable pulling and site lighting. If that's the kind of work you've been doing, you'll feel at home.

What you'll be doing

You’ll run the jobsite day to day and make sure the work gets done safely, on schedule and done right. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, and you’ll be the main point of contact in the field for crews, subs, customers and inspectors. That includes:

• Running daily field operations and supervising crews and subcontractors
• Planning manpower, materials and equipment ahead of time
• Sequencing the work and coordinating each day's activities
• Working from plans and specs, and sorting out problems in the field as they come up
• Working with the PM to keep the schedule realistic and on track
• Scheduling inspections and staying ahead of deliveries
• Keeping a close eye on safety and quality
• Keeping the project team updated on progress and any issues
