Job summary

STO Building Group, through Structure Tone, seeks a Superintendent in New York City to lead hospitality-focused projects across NYC. The role requires 7+ years of field experience on commercial projects, including luxury hotel or boutique work.

You will direct field supervision, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality while maintaining schedules and coordinating with the Project Manager and clients.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of field experience in commercial projects; high-end amenities experience a plus.
• Supervisory experience as General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Luxury Hotel/Boutique project experience desired.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project schedule and status reports.
• Lead field coordination, quality control, and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces.
• Review progress with Project Manager and client representatives; large projects may have multiple supers.
• Ensure safety standards and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Direct subcontractor activities within interior fit-out projects.
• Analyze manpower, material, and equipment needs and coordinate requirements.
• Implement policies, procedures and work rules established by field management.
• Prepare reports and forecasts and keep supervisors informed on progress.
• Ensure safety in the operational area and safe condition and use of equipment.

Job description

Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Superintendent in New York City, NY. This Superintendent will be working on various hospitality focused projects throughout NYC.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Prepares the project schedule, maintains reports accurately describing project status
• Responsible for the timely and cost effectivefield coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects
• Reviews status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis. Large projects include multiple Superintendents.
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
• Directs sub contractor activities within interior fit out projects
• Analyzes manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interfaces the requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
• Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction Management
• Prepares reports and forecasts, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of field experience in commercial projects. With High end amenities experience a big plus.
• Experience should include some supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Luxury Hotel/Boutique project experience desired.
• Well developed, communications, interpersonal, organizational and team work skills are required.

Salary range

• $120,000-$180,000
• Eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
