Job summary

Pavarini Northeast, part of the STO Building Group, seeks a Superintendent to lead field operations in the New Haven/Groton CT area. You will coordinate subcontractors, maintain schedules and ensure on-site safety and quality on commercial projects.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in field roles, with supervisory experience and strong communication skills. The role offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of field experience in commercial projects.
• Supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent is desirable.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project schedules and status reports.
• Oversee field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted crews.
• Review progress with Project Manager and client representatives; manage multiple superintendents on large projects.
• Ensure safety standards are implemented and adhered to on site.
• Direct subcontractor activities on ground-up residential projects.
• Analyze manpower, materials, and equipment needs; coordinate with supervisors.

Pavarini Northeast, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Superintendent in New Haven, Groton CT area to join our team.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Prepares the project schedule, maintains reports accurately describing project status
• Responsible for the timely and cost effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects
• Reviews status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis. Large projects include multiple Superintendents.
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
• Directs sub contractor activities within ground up Residential projects
• Analyzes manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interfaces the requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
• Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction Management
• Prepares reports and forecasts, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of field experience in commercial projects. With Higher Education or Life Science experience a big plus.
• Experience should include some supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Well developed, communications, interpersonal, organizational and team work skills are required.

Salary range

• $110,000-$160,000
• Eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
