Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Superintendent in New York City, NY. This role focuses on hospitality-focused projects across NYC, requiring hands-on leadership of field operations and coordination with the Project Manager and client representatives.

The position demands 7+ years of field experience on commercial projects, with a track record in supervision and a strong set of communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of field experience in commercial projects, with high-end amenities a big plus
  • Experience with supervisory responsibilities as a General Foreman, Field Engineer, or Assistant Superintendent
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills required

Responsibilities

  • Prepares the project schedule and maintains reports describing project status
  • Supervises field coordination, quality control, and day-to-day subcontracted work forces
  • Reviews status and progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis
  • Ensures safety standards are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment
  • Directs subcontractor activities within interior fit-out projects
  • Analyzes manpower, materials, equipment requirements and interfaces with other supervisors
  • Implements and enforces policies, procedures and work rules established by field construction management
  • Prepares reports and forecasts, keeping supervisors informed on progress of activities
  • Ensures safety standards and safe operation of tools and equipment in the operational area

Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Superintendent in New York City, NY. This Superintendent will be working on various hospitality focused projects throughout NYC.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Prepares the project schedule, maintains reports accurately describing project status
  • Responsible for the timely and cost effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects
  • Reviews status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis. Large projects include multiple Superintendents.
  • Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
  • Directs sub contractor activities within interior fit out projects
  • Analyzes manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interfaces the requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
  • Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction Management
  • Prepares reports and forecasts, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities
  • Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of field experience in commercial projects. With High end amenities experience a big plus.
  • Experience should include some supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
  • Well developed, communications, interpersonal, organizational and team work skills are required.
Salary range
  • $120,000-$180,000
  • Eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
