Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Construction P6 Scheduler in the Mobile, AL area to join our growing team. A salary of $95,000–$130,000 per year reflects the seniority and scope of the role.

The role focuses on bid management, preconstruction activities, and coordinating with Owners, Architects, and subcontractors to drive successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Relationships: Interact with Owners, Architects, and subcontractors to maintain positive working relationships.
• Promote company interests through participation in relevant organizations.
• Represent the team at pre-bid meetings and site walks/surveys.
• Manage bid invitations by organizing and distributing information as received.
• Invite bids to subcontractors and review incoming bids with the team.
• Identify, coordinate, and track key dates and deliverables.
• Maintain internal historical cost, project, and subcontractor databases.
• Assist in generating preconstruction materials for presentation purposes.
• Participate in internal teams focused on process improvements.
• Review design documents to determine required trades for bidding a complete project.
• Prepare detailed scope sheets for disciplines on large and small projects.
• Communicate clearly with subcontractor partners.
• Develop knowledge of material costs, system costs, and buildout costs.
• Familiarize with all plans, specs, and documents assigned.
• Learn company policies and procedures relevant to this position.
• Understand requirements of working within various buildings across Atlanta.

Responsibilities

• Relationships: Understands the importance of interacting with and maintaining positive working relationships with Owners, Architects, and subcontractors.
• Participate in organizations that serve to promote the interests of our company.
• Represents our team at pre-bid meetings and site walks / surveys.
• Manage incoming invitations to bid by organizing and distributing information as it is received.
• Issue invitations to bid to subcontractor partners. Receive and organize incoming subcontractor bids for review by team.
• Identify, coordinate, and track key dates and deliverables.
• Assists in maintaining internal historical cost, project, and subcontractor databases.
• Assisting the entire team (Business Development, Project Management, Marketing, etc.) with the generation of preconstruction material for presentation purposes.
• Actively participates on internal team(s) which focuses on continuous improvements of the business and its processes.
• Reviewing design documents to determine necessary trades required for bidding a complete project.
• Preparing detailed scope sheets for individual disciplines on a large project, using this same approach for all disciplines on smaller projects.
• Communicates clearly with our subcontractor partners.
• Develops a working knowledge of material unit costs, systems unit costs, and buildout square foot costs.
• Has a working knowledge of all plans, specifications, and documents of which assigned.
• Become familiar all policies and procedures as it relates to this position.
• Gain understanding of the requirements of working within various buildings throughout Atlanta.
