Job summary

Renewyx LLC is seeking a Superintendent for Chicagoland public works projects including roads, bridges, and interchanges. You will lead on-site operations, mobilization through closeout, directing self-perform crews and subs to keep work productive.

Strong focus on plan/spec interpretation, safety, and coordinating with PMs, resident engineers, and inspectors across Chicago metro sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum time as a Superintendent on heavy civil or highway work or senior foreman ready to step up.
• Track record leading crews on roadway, bridge, structures or earthwork projects.
• Solid ability to read plans and specs with safety-focused execution.
• Experience with IDOT, Tollway or other DOT projects.
• Experience with bridge decks, walls or foundations on field projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the field work from mobilization through closeout on Chicagoland sites.
• Keep self-perform crews and subs productive and on schedule.
• Manage traffic staging and keep the project schedule on track.
• Maintain clear communication with PM, resident engineer and inspectors.

Renewyx have partnered with a heavy highway and bridge general contractor in the Chicagoland area who are looking to bring on a Superintendent.

Roads, bridges, interchanges. Big public work with your own crews on the ground. You run the site and the job is yours to drive day to day.

You'll lead the work in the field from mobilization through closeout. Keep self-perform crews and subs productive, keep traffic staging and the schedule on track, and keep the PM, resident engineer and inspectors in the loop.

• Time as a Superintendent on heavy civil or highway work, or a strong senior foreman ready for the step up
• A track record running crews on roadway, bridge, structures or earthwork packages
• A solid read of plans and specs, and a safety-first way of running a job
• IDOT, Tollway or other DOT project experience
• Experience with structures work such as bridge decks, walls or foundations
• Field-based on projects across the Chicago metro area
