You will supervise and mentor departmental teams, drive continuous improvement, and partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other teams to meet schedules and budget while upholding high standards of housekeeping and safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of manufacturing experience in high-volume environments.
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience managing supervisors or teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations across Door Plant, Millroom, and Framing to meet safety and production goals.
  • Provide coaching and development to departmental supervisors and staff.
  • Ensure production schedules are met while controlling cost and efficiency.
  • Monitor staffing and workflow to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Implement corrective actions to reduce defects, waste, and rework.
  • Maintain production records and labor reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement and safety programs.

Job Description:
Position Summary

The Superintendent is responsible for leading manufacturing operations within the Door Plant, Millroom, and Framing departments to meet production schedules while ensuring quality products are produced in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This position provides leadership and direction to departmental supervisors and team members, driving operational excellence, workforce development, continuous improvement, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations of the Door Plant, Millroom, and Framing departments to achieve safety, quality, production, and delivery goals.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to departmental supervisors to drive performance, accountability, and employee development.
  • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining efficiency, productivity, and cost objectives.
  • Monitor staffing, workflow, and production performance to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies and ensure employees are properly trained for their assigned work.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve issues and improve operational performance.
  • Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions to reduce defects, rework, and waste.
  • Manage departmental performance to achieve budget, labor, and operational targets.
  • Maintain accurate production records, labor reporting, and departmental documentation.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and employee engagement.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, teamwork, and leadership.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organization, and workplace efficiency.
  • Support workforce planning, cross-training, succession planning, and staffing needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a high-volume production environment.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience managing supervisors, teams, or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to drive results while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and employee development.
  • Experience managing multiple departments, processes, or production areas preferred.
  • Ability to analyze production data and make sound business decisions.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence principles preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Compensation Range:

$74,600.00-117,260.00

*Actual pay will vary based on qualifications and other factors
