Job summary

Metropolitan Family Service seeks a Program Coordinator (SUN Site Manager) to oversee daily operations at Meadows Elementary School. You will manage program staff, ensure safety, coordinate schedules, and monitor grant compliance, data entry, and reporting for SUN and 21st CCLC programs.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with families and school staff, and a commitment to equity and quality in youth programs. Proficiency in Google Workspace and Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience developing and managing youth or community-based programs.
• Experience supervising staff, volunteers, or program teams.
• Experience managing program budgets and resources.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in school or community settings.
• Ability to build and maintain partnerships with schools, families, and community organizations.
• Strong leadership, organization, and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Strong classroom and behavior management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of employment laws and workplace regulations is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate before-school, after-school, and summer programs supporting academic, enrichment, and family engagement goals.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, community partners, and advisory groups to develop high-quality programming.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and support program staff and volunteers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with students, families, school personnel, and community organizations.
• Engage families in program planning and leadership opportunities.
• Coordinate partnerships and community resources to meet student and family needs.
• Manage program operations: scheduling, enrollment, budgets, data collection, reporting, and compliance.
• Lead outreach and marketing efforts to recruit students, families, volunteers, and community partners.
• Facilitate meetings and advisory committees; promote family leadership.
• Ensure services are culturally responsive and strengths-based.
