Job summary

Metropolitan Family Service seeks a Program Coordinator (SUN Site Manager) at Meadows Elementary School to lead after-school, before-school, and summer programs, ensuring academic enrichment and family engagement. The role requires coordinating staff, volunteers, and partnerships with schools and community organizations.

You will oversee scheduling, enrollment, budgets, data collection, and compliance, while fostering culturally responsive services and strong teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience developing and managing youth or community-based programs.
• Experience supervising staff, volunteers, or program teams.
• Experience managing program budgets and resources.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in school or community settings.
• Ability to build and maintain partnerships with schools, families, and community organizations.
• Strong leadership, organization, and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate before-school, after-school, and summer programs that support academic, enrichment, and family engagement goals.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, community partners, and advisory groups to develop and implement high-quality programming.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and support program staff and volunteers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with students, families, school personnel, and community organizations.
• Engage families in program planning, leadership opportunities, and educational activities.
• Coordinate partnerships and community resources to meet student and family needs.
• Manage program operations, including scheduling, enrollment, budgets, data collection, reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Lead outreach and marketing efforts to recruit students, families, volunteers, and community partners.
• Facilitate meetings, advisory committees, and family leadership groups.
• Ensure services are delivered through a culturally responsive and strengths-based approach.
