The role focuses on safety, cultural responsiveness, and alignment with student needs while ensuring quality delivery after hours. The Site Manager acts as the liaison between school administration, SEI, County and partners, guiding program operations, staff supervision, and data reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field with 3 years of related experience; substitute experience for education.
  • Program management experience, preferably in an academic environment.
  • At least two years of progressive leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Experience in program and curriculum development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Basic computer literacy and skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to motivate others and influence change.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record; insurable under SEI’s auto insurance.

Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI) is part of Schools Uniting Neighborhoods (SUN) Community Schools service system serving 17 school sites across Multnomah County. SUN Community Schools aim is to remove barriers for students and families and support their academic success, family stability and economic prosperity. The SEI SUN Site Manager is responsible for overall coordination and implementation of program activities at one school site, with the majority of programming taking place after regular school hours. The SUN Site Manager ensures that these extended-day programs are safe, culturally responsive and aligned with student needs. This role serves as the primary liaison between school administration, community partners and SEI to ensure successful delivery of academic, enrichment, and family support services. The Site Manager oversees the daily program operations and execution of all contracted deliverables which includes managing part-time staff and volunteers, and ensures compliance with program objectives and outcomes. This position is a full-time and in-person and reports directly to the SUN Program Manager and is part of SEI’s Community & Family Programs department.

Primary RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Planning & Implementation
  • Organize, plan, and manage the implementation of all after-school program activities at the school site.
  • Oversees scheduling, coordination and evaluation of after-school programs, services, and staff.
  • Builds opportunities to effectively link the school day with after-school activities and programs.
  • Ensure student engagement in all programs, services, and activities are safe.
Collaboration & Partnerships
  • Serves as the primary contact for school administrators and manage communications between SEI, school administration, County and other Community Partners.
  • Build and maintain strong collaboration with other SEI programs and departments to align services, share resources, and create holistic support and programming for students and families.
  • Develop strategies to integrate SEI initiatives (e.g., mentoring, family engagement, workforce development) into SUN programming for greater impact.
  • Facilitates partnerships to establish a network of resources to supplement and support the extended day program.
  • Collaborates with key community and school leaders to maximize existing resources and to obtain new programs in alignment with the Sun School annual plan.
Budget & Fundraising
  • Manage and allocate site program budget effectively, track expenses, and comply with agency financial policies.
  • Execute all contracted program deliverables and monitor timelines to ensure implementation is on budget.
  • Actively participate in fundraising activities as needed to supplement program budgets.
Data & Compliance
  • Accurate and timely input of program and participant data into designated data platforms according to organizational standards of data integrity and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the SEI Data Team and County Data Team to resolve any discrepancies to ensure accuracy and maintenance of data.
  • Monitor deliverables and timelines resolving issues to ensure work assigned is completed on time and within budget.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
