Job summary

Youth Development Professionals are responsible for providing members with academic and cultural enrichment opportunities, including service learning, art, sports and recreation, music, drama, dance, storytelling, and museum visits. The role focuses on developing life skills and positive personal growth for all members in the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Bend in Tallahassee.

Qualifications

Minimum of High School Diploma, some college preferred.
Self-starters who take initiative, are organized, and creative.
Experience working with youth in teaching music, art, or dance, or supervisory role.
Experience in implementing academic and cultural activities for youth.
Ability to serve as a role model and leader to members.
Strong commitment to youth and families and a strong belief in their potential.

Responsibilities

Provide members with academic and cultural enrichment opportunities (art, music, drama, storytelling, museums).
Develop and deliver weekly lesson plans and learning activities.
Supervise and engage youth to ensure a safe, inclusive environment.
Coordinate schedules and coordinate activities with staff to support programs.
