Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay is seeking a Youth Development Professional to plan, implement, and supervise after-school programs that promote academic success, healthy living, life skills, and workforce readiness. Under the Club Director, you will serve as a role model, collaborate with staff and families, and help build a welcoming, safe environment for members.

This part-time, non-exempt position requires flexibility for evenings and weekends and may involve travel to multiple club

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in Boys & Girls Club or similar organization preferred.
• Complete 40 hours of DCF training within one year of employment, including first 90 days requirements and in-person exams.
• Complete organization-sponsored CPR training within 90 days of hire.
• Additional training may be required for continuing education and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and supervise activities focusing on belonging and opportunity through academic success, health & well-being, life skills, leadership, and workforce readiness.
• Serve as a role model to Club members and help youth build skills, confidence, and opportunities for their future.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and work as part of a team to maintain a productive environment.
• Assist staff and coordinate with families, and occasionally work weekends or extended hours for special events and programs.
• Prioritize member safety through active supervision and adherence to policies and procedures.
