Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative in Beulah, ND is seeking a Student Intern for the Weld Shop during the summer of 2027. The intern will assist with basic welding tasks, print reading, fabrication, and operating weld shop equipment under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a full-time two-year Welding Technology program with two semesters completed.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5; 18+ years old; valid driver’s license; transcript required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Print Reading, fabrication and pipe plate welding.
• Operate weld shop equipment (bandsaw, pipe beveling machine, press brake, welding positioner).
• Support the annual Family Night event including setup, participation and cleanup.
