Job summary

WSP USA invites motivated students to join our Summer Internship Program as a Transmission Engineering Intern in Indian Land, SC. The 12-week program starts May 17, 2027, offering hands-on experience by collaborating with senior staff on real projects within the Power and Energy Team.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Civil or Mechanical Engineering programs with a graduation date after August 2027, are 18+, and ready to contribute to research, design calculations, and documentation while

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (undergrad) with graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Interest in Civil/Mechanical engineering and related work.
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Ability to take direction from leadership and mentors.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basics of Civil and Mechanical engineering principles.
• Support project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Help prepare final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and policies.
• Other duties as needed; no relocation or housing assistance.
