Job summary

WSP USA invites students to join our Summer Internship Program as a Transmission Engineering Intern in Mount Laurel, NJ. This full-time internship runs for 10–12 weeks, beginning May 17, 2027, with a flexible start date for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil or Mechanical Engineering program with anticipated graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Demonstrated interest in Civil/Mechanical Engineering and eagerness to learn about WSP projects.
• Strong communication and professional interaction with engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Able to take direction from mentors and managers to execute projects.
• Basic proficiency with office software, writing, and data analysis tools.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Assist with various engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic Civil and Mechanical Engineering principles.
• Support project research, field work, and initial design calculations.
• Help prepare final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and safety policies.
