Job summary

WSP USA in Lakewood, CO is offering a full-time Civil Engineering (Transmission) Intern position as part of our Summer Internship Program. This 12-week paid internship provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real projects alongside senior staff.

You'll assist with research, field work, preliminary design calculations, and documentation, while developing technical, social, and ethical skills.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Interest in Civil Engineering and a desire to develop skills on projects.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Ability to receive direction from mentors and managers.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and tools.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic Civil Engineering principles.
• Support project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Assist in preparing final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Help collect and maintain project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and safety policies.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
• Note: no relocation or housing assistance.
