Job summary

Verition Fund Management LLC is offering a 10-week Summer Internship in New York with a technology focus. You’ll work with a hands-on team on data ingestion, processing, modelling, and risk management processes, culminating in live presentations to senior leaders.

You’ll join a mentor group, attend a speaker series, and participate in professional development and intern-class activities aimed at building market knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced hedge fund environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in CS, applied math, statistics, business, or related STEM field.
• Proficiency in Python, or knowledge of C++/Java.
• Proficiency with machine learning and AI applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
• Collaborative with ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated interest in hedge funds/financial services.

Responsibilities

• Data ingestion, high-performance processing, modelling, portfolio and risk management, live execution and post-trade analysis.
• Contribute to strategic projects beyond your day-to-day team responsibilities.
• Participate in a trading simulation with the intern class.
• Present your work and ideas to senior leaders during the program.
