Job summary

Verition Fund Management LLC invites talented students to join its 10-week Summer Internship Program with a technology focus. You will work with portfolio managers and engineers on data ingestion, high-performance processing, modelling and live execution, while presenting results to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, business, or another STEM field.
• Proficiency in Python, or knowledge of C++ or Java.
• Proficiency with machine learning and AI applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
• Collaborative in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated interest in hedge funds/financial services.

Responsibilities

• Paired to a technology team; involved in data ingestion, high-performance processing, modelling, portfolio and risk management, live execution and post-trade analysis.
• Contribute to strategic projects beyond the day-to-day team responsibilities.
• Compete in a trading simulation with the intern class to build foundational markets knowledge.
• Present your work and ideas to senior leaders during the program.
