Job summary

American Family Insurance in Madison, WI offers a Talent Analytics internship (10–14 weeks) starting mid-May and ending in August. You’ll gain hands-on experience with talent data, reporting solutions, and insights to influence business decisions.

You’ll work with the Talent Analytics team to transform workforce data into insights, build dashboards and visualizations, and present to HR and executives. Networking and coaching opportunities accompany hands-on project work.

Qualifications

Must be enrolled as a student at an accredited 4-year college or university during the internship.
Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree with a major aligned to the internship role.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, formulas, pivot tables, basic data analysis).
Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of our business, culture and structure to support your work.
Contribute ideas and strategic approaches in response to changing situations.
Partner with Talent Analytics team members to transform workforce data into insights that support business and people decisions.
Support the development of dashboards, visualizations, scorecards, and presentations for HR, leaders and executives.
Explore emerging approaches to people analytics and workforce planning.
