Job summary

The Consortium of Jewish Day Schools is seeking a dedicated Swim Instructor with WSI certification to lead a camp swim program. You will provide high-quality instruction, ensure safety, and promote water confidence for campers across skill levels.

Responsibilities include teaching lessons, supervising lifeguards, and maintaining a clean pool area while working with a swim consultant to create an optimal swimming experience for all participants.

Qualifications

• Current valid WSI Certification is required.
• Possess current Red Cross lifeguard training certification or equivalent.
• Ability to apply learned skills to real-life camp situations.
• Proficient in swimming techniques with ability to teach diverse age groups.
• Positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working with campers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups, adapting instruction to meet participant needs.
• Ensure safety of all swimmers by monitoring pool activities.
• Supervise the swim program and ensure lifeguards fulfill duties.
• Provide guidance on proper swimming techniques and skills development.
• Maintain pool area cleanliness and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Assist in emergencies by administering first aid or CPR as needed.
• Collaborate with the swim consultant to optimize the camper swimming experience.
