Job summary

Village Of Niles is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to lead swim classes across all skill levels, ensuring safety and engaging instruction. Reporting to the Aquatics Coordinator, you will deliver continuous, attentive supervision, reinforce water safety practices, and foster a positive learning environment for participants of diverse backgrounds.

Ideal candidates have the Water Safety Instructor course, CPR/First Aid, and prior teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Successfully complete the Water Safety Instructor (WSI) course.
• Hold current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Be at least 17 years of age.
• Bring prior teaching experience along with knowledge of water safety practices and equipment.
• Demonstrate the ability to enforce pool rules and work effectively with the public and staff.
• Be in good physical condition and maintain a dependable, alert, and enthusiastic approach.
• Be capable of sitting and standing for long periods of time.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous, attentive instruction to swim classes at every skill level.
• Take precautions to keep students safe in the water.
