Job summary

Divergent is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern for a 12-week summer program in Torrance, CA (onsite). You will support procurement, planning, logistics, and inventory management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, collaborating with Production, Engineering, and Program Management teams.

You'll gain hands-on experience with purchase orders, supplier communications, cycle counts, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in SCM, IE, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus; effective communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in procurement activities, including issuing purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
• Support supply chain planning and scheduling to align material availability with production timelines.
• Help monitor inventory levels, cycle counts, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to logistics coordination, including inbound/outbound shipping and documentation.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards.
• Participate in process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and cost savings.
