Job summary

Applied Materials seeks a summer intern for the Global Supply Chain team in Austin for a 12-week program. The role supports Supplier Account Managers, Procurement/Materials Managers, and Supply Chain Analytics in supplier selection, management, and commodity strategies.

The candidate must be pursuing a Master’s in Supply Chain Management or related field, maintain good academic standing (GPA 3.0+ preferred), and demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's in Supply Chain Management or related major.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
• Ability to problem-solve creatively and analytically.
• Excellent listening, writing, quantitative, qualitative and oral communication skills.
• Data analytics skills (e.g., advanced Excel, working with multiple data sets).

Responsibilities

• Complete RFQs and supplier profiles for management review.
• Support supplier management and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Assist Buyer functions such as creating, rescheduling, and canceling POs.
• Perform MRP and spend analytics to optimize business practices.
