Job summary

Divergent is seeking motivated engineering interns for a 12-week summer program in Torrance, CA. You will work with engineers to design, analyze, and test mechanical and structural components, and help develop software tools, automation, or simulations.

The internship emphasizes hands‑on prototyping and validation using Divergent’s DAPS workflow, including additive manufacturing and robotic assembly, with opportunities to present outcomes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Aerospace, CS, or Materials.
• Ability to work onsite in Torrance, CA.
• 40+ hours per week for 12 weeks (Summer 2027).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in CAD tools, Python, or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design, analyze, and test components.
• Support development of software tools, automation workflows, or simulations.
• Conduct research, data collection, and technical analysis.
• Assist in prototyping and validation using DAPS workflow, including additive manufacturing and robotic assembly.
• Document processes, results, and recommendations.
• Present findings at the conclusion of the internship.
