Job summary

WSP USA is offering a full-time Structural Engineering Intern - Summer 2027 across multiple locations including Denver, Seattle, Tacoma, San Diego, Portland, and Virginia Beach. The program runs for 12 weeks starting May 17, 2027, for students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Structural or Civil Engineering program in the United States with an anticipated graduation date of January 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in structural engineering and desire to advance skills with WSP's projects.
• Authorization to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of structural engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making in handling company funds and resources.
