WSP USA offers hundreds of internships nationally, including a Summer 2027 Structures Intern position in its Valhalla, NY office. The 12-week program runs from May 17, 2027, with flexible start dates for qualified students.

Open to undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering programs. The role includes mentorship, hands-on project exposure, and opportunities to develop technical and professional skills within a leading engineering firm.

Formación

• Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering or related undergraduate program with a graduation date Sept 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Interest in Structural Engineering of Transportation Structures and desire to grow in WSP projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Able to take direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute projects.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and general tools.
• Committed to workplace safety and compliance with WSP safety policies.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsabilidades

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Structural Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and safety policies.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
• Note that there is no relocation or housing assistance for this internship.
