Job summary

WSP USA is offering a full-time Structural Engineering Intern - Summer 2027 to work from our Denver, CO office with additional sites including Seattle, WA; Tacoma, WA; San Diego, CA; Portland, OR; and Virginia Beach, VA.

The internship targets undergrad/grad students enrolled in structural or civil engineering programs, starting May 17, 2027 for ~12 weeks, with no relocation housing provided.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a US Structural or Civil Engineering program with an anticipated graduation date Jan 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Interest in structural engineering and ability to work with engineers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of structural engineering through hands-on tasks.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
