Job summary

Gray, through its NexGen contracting arm, is seeking two Summer 2027 interns for its Steel Department. Locations are TBD, with hands-on experience in industrial construction, safety, and project support across office and field environments.

You will assist with safety management, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and project coordination alongside project management and field teams, gaining exposure to real-world construction processes and professional development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to work in both office and job site environments.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Observe and assist with project safety efforts and safety meetings.
• Assist with cost tracking and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety management and safety documentation.
• Support estimating, scheduling, procurement, and project coordination.
• Contribute to project scheduling activities and timelines.
• Help monitor project progress and production tracking.
• Assist with change orders, reports, and organizing project files.
