Job summary

US Foods offers a Summer Internship Program that allows students to apply classroom skills to real-world development projects in the food distribution sector. Interns work on front-end and/or back-end web applications, create APIs, and gain hands-on experience while receiving guidance from a mentor and manager.

The program runs full-time (40 hours/week) from June to August, with potential for a full-time role after graduation based on performance.

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist and participate in project ideation - from concept to delivery.
• Gather information from existing systems, analyze program and time requirements.
• Prepare detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded.
• Develop moderately complex programs.
• Ensure programs meet standards and technical specifications.
• Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
• Create documentation of work assignments such as program code and technical documentation.
• Assist support and/or project personnel in resolving program issues.
