Job summary

US Foods is offering a Summer Internship Program to give students hands-on experience in data analytics within the food distribution industry. Interns will work with the Data Intelligence & Advisory team, collaborate with product owners and developers, and receive mentorship and feedback throughout the internship.

The program is full-time (40 hours per week) from June to August, with a hybrid setup combining onsite and remote work.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems/Science or related field.
Must be enrolled in school during time of internship.
Typically, students between Junior and Senior years or between 1st and 2nd years of graduate study will be considered.
Experience with business process optimization and/or gathering business requirements.
Excellent organizational & multi-tasking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Interact with product owners, product managers and business users to understand requirements and product enhancement opportunities.
Create requirements documentation and user stories outlining processes and specifications.
Participate in daily and weekly Agile team meetings and ceremonies.
Work with development team to translate requirements into a feasible technical design.
Discover wireframe design process by interacting with the UX lead.
Collaborate with testing to ensure requirements are implemented per specs and help troubleshoot issues.
Partake in deployment planning meetings for tools.
