Job summary

NiSource is seeking a Summer Renewable Generation Intern for a 12-week program starting May 2027 in Wheatfield, IN. The role supports Renewable Generation staff and provides exposure to project management and facility analyses.

The intern will gain hands-on experience, build professional relationships, and participate in development activities while learning about NiSource's operations and the utilities industry.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in an ABET-accredited four-year engineering, business, or operations program.
• Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study.
• Ability to work 40 hrs/week.
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
• Proficiency with PC applications; strong MS 365 skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist renewable generation staff on projects to meet facility needs.
• Provide project management support for electric generation facilities of varying complexity.
• Collect data and create work orders or purchase requisitions as needed.
• Perform field measurements and contribute to data analysis.
