Job summary

NiSource is offering a Summer Renewable Generation Intern position in Wheatfield, IN. You will work under the guidance of renewable generation staff on projects to meet facility needs and gain exposure to project management activities.

This 12-week program starts in May 2027 for students entering their junior or senior year. You will build professional relationships, participate in development exercises, and collaborate with NiSource personnel across teams while contributing to meaningful tasks.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in a four-year engineering, business or operations program.
• Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate coursework.
• Willing to work 40 hours per week and reside within eligible area.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with PC applications (Microsoft 365 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist renewable generation staff on projects to meet facility needs.
• Provide project management support for generation facilities of varying complexity.
• Learn and collaborate with team members and leaders across NiSource.
• Build professional relationships with interns and NiSource personnel.
