Selective Insurance invites students to join the Ignite Internship program at our corporate office in Short Hills, NJ for an 11-week, full-time summer experience in 2027. You'll gain exposure to the enterprise risk management and reinsurance teams, work on on-the-job assignments, and collaborate with leaders across departments to build real-world skills.

Ideal candidates are currently pursuing an accounting degree, junior or senior, with an interest in insurance, and are comfortable using

Qualifications

• Current college student pursuing an accounting degree.
• Interest in learning about the insurance industry.
• Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support internship teams with identifying and reporting on risk-related tasks.
• Assist with documentation and mapping of internal drives.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support objectives.
• Demonstrate urgency and commitment to departmental goals.
• Communicate analyses and recommendations effectively in writing and verbally.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.
