Selective Insurance offers an Ignite Internship at our Short Hills, NJ corporate office. The 11-week, full-time program provides exposure to the Internal Audit team, with hands-on experience in evaluating controls and risk, and collaboration with senior leaders.

Hybrid work requires commuting to Short Hills, NJ. Ideal candidates are undergraduates in Finance or related fields, Juniors or Seniors, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and an interest in insurance.

Qualifications

• Must be a current college student majoring in Finance or a related field to qualify.
• Demonstrate an interest in learning about the insurance industry.
• Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is preferred.
• College credit can be earned depending on your institution's requirements.
• High School Diploma required; ideal candidates are full-time undergraduates.

Responsibilities

• Support Audit Engagements by planning and executing audit procedures.
• Evaluate internal controls and document findings.
• Prepare workpapers, summarize results, and assist with recommendations for improvements.
