Job summary

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa in Florida seeks a Recreation & Social Events Intern for the Summer to help deliver family programming, poolside activities, and guest-focused entertainment across the resort.

You will rotate through ten recreation divisions, assist with events, supervise craft activities, and support scheduling, guest engagement, and training. This seasonal internship runs May–August 2027.

Qualifications

• Guest facing or hospitality experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
• Maintain composure during high volume periods.
• English reading/writing/speaking required; extra languages a plus.
• Ability to switch between tasks quickly and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Host and support poolside entertainment and signature recreation events.
• Oversee craft and camp operations and assist with daily activities.
• Interact warmly with guests and manage crowd engagement.
• Execute group recreation events and holiday programming.
• Assist with scheduling and operational planning.
• Serve as supervisor on duty when scheduled.
• Support training meetings and development sessions.
