Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a Summer Quality Engineer Intern in Bridgeton, MO. The role supports the Quality Engineering team by reviewing supplier FAIRs, creating inspection checklists, and developing QA instructions while assisting manufacturing and quality operations.

The internship aims to provide hands-on experience in product and supplier quality within a defense engineering environment through meaningful projects and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and currently a Junior or higher in a BS program in a related engineering field.
• Interest in the manufacturing side of engineering, including product and supplier quality.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to review technical documents and test materials.
• Good communication and collaborative skills across teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate supplier FAIRs for accuracy and compliance.
• Create detailed inspection checklists to support quality and manufacturing processes.
• Develop Quality Assurance Instructions (QAI) to guide inspection and verification activities.
• Provide support to Manufacturing and Quality teams as directed by Quality Management.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers to ensure consistent application of quality standards.
