Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a Summer Quality Engineer Intern for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This role provides foundational DevelopmentQuality Analyst support for the Quality team, including review and evaluation of test materials, documentation, processes, and key project deliverables.

This role will also be reviewing software documentation and witnessing software tests, so basic software knowledge is helpful.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, and currently a Junior or above in a Bachelor’s program in Software or Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and interpret technical documents and test materials.
• Basic understanding of quality principles, testing methods, or engineering processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools.

Responsabilités

• Provide basic Quality Analyst support for the Quality team
• Review software documentation for DoD compliance
• Review and assess test materials to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Utilize sound configuration management practices and baselines for software code and MS Word documents
• Evaluate documentation for adherence to quality standards
• Analyze processes and identify opportunities for improvement
• Review key project deliverables to verify alignment with quality requirements
• Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers
• Complete assigned tasks within established timeframes
• Gather, organize, and prepare data for engineering use
• Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers
• Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Other duties as assigned
